Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Painting the Closet

Painting the Closet

The last piece of plastering in the closet is a finish coat on the last patch. I use Master of Plaster for this to avoid messing with the Limeworks xtra fine. I go through the rest of the walls to start prepping them for painting. I do a few touchups with either joint compound or some diluted plaster. I also use acrylic caulk to fill in the gaps.

More taping.

While the touchups dry, back to the door to start applying Waterlox to one side of the door. The Waterlox will be two standard semi-gloss coats and then final coats of satin Waterlox. Once I get to the Waterlox phase, Iā€™m in the clear because this varnish goes on so easy and is hard to mess up.

Shiny Waterlox.

For the paint in the closet, I go with Mont Blanc clay paint. I apply this with a roller to avoid the brush marks. I get one coat down before running out of paint so the second coat will need to wait till later.
